Where Nature Nurtures Learning

Vedanya, where education is founded on devotion for children

We strive to create not only an academically successful school that prepares learners for the rigors of higher education, career, and life, but one with a loving, nurturing, welcoming, and empathetic environment that captures the wonder of childhood and the inquisition and curiosity of the developing child.

Our learning is embedded in nature to preserve the wilder bond. We believe in changing the world for the better. Nestled in growing township of about 300 acres, in Central Park- Flower Valley, The Vedanya School is a Central Park endeavour, initiated by Mr. A. K. Bakshi.

The Vedanya Nature School is A Promise- a promise for the future generations, extending learning beyond the classroom by integrating nature into the curriculum.

More than an institution, Vedanya is a space where academic growth, emotional intelligence, and environmental awareness thrives together, inspiring learners to dream bigger, think deeper, and engage meaningfully with the world.

May we raise children
who love the unloved
things–the dandelion, the
worms and spiderlings.
Children who sense
the rose needs the thorn

And run into rainswept days
the same way they
turn towards sun…

And when they’re grown &
someone has to speak for those
who have no voice

may they draw upon that
wilder bond, those days of
tending tender things
and be the ones.

Vedanya School Essentials

At the core of Vedanya’s educational philosophy is the concept of the ‘Forever Learner’ – a child who remains curious, engaged, and open to new possibilities throughout life. Our approach to learning engages the whole child—the head, heart, and hands—carefully addressing the developmental needs of every age and stage. Our priority is understanding why we teach and how we teach before focusing on what we teach.

We go beyond academics, nurturing well-rounded individuals by engaging all the faculties of learning, fostering essential skills, cultivating a positive mindset, and inspiring purposeful actions in service to others.

4-FOLD CURRICULUM

‘Children possess hundred languages – hundred ways of thinking, expressing, understanding, and creating.’

At Vedanya, education is not merely about acquiring knowledge; it is a transformative process that encompasses the whole being.

Rooted in four pillars is our four-fold curriculum —Physical Rigour, fostering resilience and discipline; Creative Rigour, nurturing innovation and expression; Academic Rigour, developing critical thinking and mastery; and Self-Unfoldment, guiding students from self-awareness to service—this approach integrates the “head, heart, and hands. “Through a balance of inward self-discovery and outward engagement, learners cultivate a deep sense of self-awareness, embark on a dual journey of self-discovery and self-unfoldment, embracing both personal growth and service to others.
At its core lies The Primacy of Self-Discovery, where students unlock their potential, courage, and perseverance by navigating challenges. Fuelled by curiosity, creativity, and imagination, we encourage our children to explore and question cultivating a mindset of a forever learner.

Central to this journey are Collaborative Relationships, grounded in Empathy and Care, fostering inclusivity, teamwork, and shared achievements, while Diversity and Inclusion celebrate varied perspectives, cultivating a community of respect and understanding. Both Success and Failure are embraced as essential parts of learning, encouraging children risk-taking, reflection, and resilience and offering multiple opportunities to revisit, refine, and reflect.

Learning connects deeply to The Natural World, inspiring stewardship through immersive outdoor experiences, while Service and Compassion extends beyond the self, empowering learners to contribute to their communities with kindness and purpose.

“Education is the art of bringing out the complete and harmonious development of all the powers that exist in a human being – body, mind, and soul.” ~ Sri Aurobindo

The Forever Learner / Vedanya School Essentials

At the core of Vedanya’s educational philosophy is the concept of the ‘Forever Learner’ – a child who remains curious, engaged, and open to new possibilities throughout life. We nurture this lifelong learning mindset by addressing the whole child, through what we call the Head, Hands, and Heart approach.

‘Vedanya’ is coined from the words ‘Ved’ and ‘Anya’. ‘Ved’ represents knowledge that comes out of deep understanding. ‘Anya’ means continuous and infinite. One that is limitless. Hence, propels our learners on a path of continuous deep learning.

Our vision

To build a learning community which empowers individuals to become leaders of tomorrow and contribute to developing a world of respect, inclusion and excellence.
